harvey, private investigator
Harvey suffers from autism, which is why for many Viscets, as well as any other creatures, he seems very hard to deal with. He has lots of strange percularities, for example the fact that he hates strong yellow colors and would therefore never eat from a yellow plate, play with a yellow toy, get into a yellow taxi etc. Furthermore, Harvey dislikes yelling and hates nothing more but someone not stopping to ask questions without giving him a few minutes to think about an answer. He will easily get mad at you then, snapping at you while covering his ears with his paws. In general, Harvey is more of a laid-back type, he hates being pushed and he can't stand stress at all; but if you give him the time he needs, he will not finish before whatever he is doing is great and exactly how it's supposed to be. He is a perfectionist and has the habit of even correcting other people's stuff, but he will always be friendly while doing so. Harvey is almost always happy, except if the weather is not to his liking, then he will surely not fail to tell you. He doesn't get along well with criticism, though, he only accepts that from very good friends; same goes for touching the stuff he collects. Having fun is one of the most important things for Harvey, he will truly always be a child at heart - as long as everything goes the way he wants it to. He gets excited very easily but this is also one reason why it is difficult for him to keep his attention for more than a few minutes - he often gets distracted; therefore Harvey is not what one would call the perfect listener, he is also not the best story-teller either, because if talking about something he will change the subject about every three minutes. Harvey is also a huger dreamer, he loves dreaming about different times, as he is a history-freak and especially very interested in the late 19th and early 20th century.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Harvey calls himself a private detective - meaning he solves cases for others in return for stuff. Harvey has actually already solved a few very interesting cases, a few even involving murder. His intelligence should not be underrated and his analysis- and problem-solving-skills are astonishing even to the human race. Because of his love not only to "playing detective" but criminal stuff in general, Harvey loves to wear an old police hat.
Important to know about Harvey is also the fact, that he is a collector and a picker. He loves old stuff and tries to get his hands on everything he finds. His home is full of old stuff like lanterns, toys, pictures, drawings, clothing, furniture, records, decoration - literally everything you can think of. He especially has a weird thing for thermomethers, in every room there is at least half a dozen on the walls. Harvey loves nothing more than his collection and only very few others are actually allowed to touch and look through it. He will gladly show you everything he has, brag about all the valuable stuff he owns and tell you the history of every little trinket but if you touch anything without his consent he will never even look at you again.
Harvey has a pet bird called Beetle, who is named like this because of especially two reasons: Beetle likes Beethoven and Beetle likes the Beatles. When Beetle is not humming either one of Beethoven's symphonies or one of the Beatles' music pieces he is most likely to talk about the weather. The bird, a grey parrot, is often heard saying sentences like: "It's raining, Harvey. Again. Look at the rain, Harvey. Look." or: "The sun is shining, Harvey. So bright. What a beautiful day, Harvey, what a beautiful day." Even though Harvey often thinks of the bird as very annoying, he can't think of a better friend and if there is anything he loves more than his huge collection, it's probably Beetle.

LIVING SPACE
The building he currently lives in used to be an opera house. The last owner had just died when Harvey discovered it and decided to enter, especially because he was interested in all the stuff he might find there. What he found first was the bird, sitting on a bust of Beethoven. Knowing the building was empty and would otherwise be demolished, he stayed.
The building is very old, from the 17th or 18th century and has a nice western feel to it. It is located on a calm boulevard between a residential building and a liquid store. It is three-floored with a huge entrance hall, reception and a restaurant on the ground floor. The stage and the auditorium extend over the 1st and 2nd floor; the 3rd floor used to be some kind of VIP-lounge, Harvey now uses it to store his giant collection of old stuff. The stage is still in use from time to time, as others sometimes ask Harvey if they can peform a play or an operette because the feeling when watching something being performed in such an old building is indescribably.
